Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Had a very shiny nose. And if you ever saw it, You would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer. Used to laugh and call him names.

They never let pooi Rudolph join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say,

"Rudolph with your nose so bright, wont you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then how the reindeers loves him , As they shouted out with glee.

"Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer , You'll go down in history"

今年は「真っ赤なお鼻のトナカイさん」を英語でみんなに歌ってもらおうと思い、毎週レッスンの後に一緒に歌っていますが、最初のYou know (あなたも知っている）から始まるフレーズはいったい何の意味なんだろう、と思い、ちょっと調べてみたら、もともと、トナカイさんたちは９頭いて、その中の一頭が赤いお鼻のルドルフで、後の８頭の名前が、Dasher , Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid,Donner, Blitzen なんだそうです。知らなかったわぁ。
